Almost everyone on the globe is acquainted with Nazi Jewish Holocaust but very few are aware that the first mass extermination of Jews was carried out on the orders of 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 in the year 627 AD immediately after the battle of “Ditch” when the Meccans held the Muslims captive at Medina.
The Quraysh (Meccans) had approached Banu Qurayza (Jews) for support in the battle against Muhammad but Qurayza had remained neutral during the course of conflict.
On the contrary, the Jews had helped Muhammad in saving his men by providing material assistance to him for digging trenches which proved vital for the survival of Muslims.
However Muhammad was not happy with Banu Qurayza and decided to attack them for supporting the Quraysh. This was a false pretext for attack. The Jews eventually fell and surrendered to Muhammad.
The Jews offered to go to exile as an alternative to mass extermination but the proposal was rejected by Muhammad who ordered mass murder of all adult males and taking women/children captive as slaves.
The properties of Banu Qurayza were confiscated and distributed amongst Muslims. All captured adult males (800-900 of them), now facing obvious death, were taken to a freshly dug trench in the market place.
In Muhammad’s presence each was beheaded before their bodies being thrown into the trench from morning till night. Muhammad himself beheaded two jewish leaders.
A jewish woman whose husband had been beheaded, demanded the same fate for herself rather than slavery of muslims. Her wish was granted. She went to her death smiling and laughing. This spectacle came to haunt Ayesha (Muhammad’s young wife) for all times to come.
Even a jewish man who had earlier saved the life of some muslims wasn’t spared after he declined pardon.
Of all the captured properties of Banu Qurayza, Muhammads share was 1/5th. Rest was distributed amongst his followers. The children and women were distributed likewise. All the beautiful women were taken as sex slaves.

Muhammad himself grabbed a beautiful girl named Rayhana to satisfy his lust. He took her to bed the same night of slaughter of Jewish menfolk. Some of the women were sold overseas for acquiring weapons and horses to be used in future wars.
